About Us

Birmingham TUC is an active umbrella body that brings together trade union branches engaged in workers’ struggles throughout Birmingham, Solihull and beyond. Unity is the only way to tackle austerity and injustice, and BTUC is the nexus for cooperation, solidarity, and collective action.

Founded in 1866, BTUC is an increasingly vibrant and expanding community. We have renovated our organising and campaigning methods, and are committed to reigniting union solidarity and fighting the erosion of workers’ rights. Birmingham TUC is volunteer-led by trade unionists for trade unionists and workers. If you would like to help, please get in touch with us.
